We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions, verifying accuracy, coding expenses to appropriate accounts, and ensuring timely payment to vendors and suppliers. Prepare and send invoices to customers, track accounts receivable balances, and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collection and cash flow management. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, analyzing financial data and presenting findings to management. Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules, asset additions, disposals, and impairment assessments, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax, preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time. Assist with audits, both internal and external, providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed to auditors. Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support business objectives, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement. Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decision-making, cost reduction initiatives, and revenue enhancement strategies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a similar role or industry. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or SAP, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and taxation laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
