Refrigerator Technician Job Opening in Thrissur

We specialize in installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and residential refrigeration systems. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team and support our refrigeration service operations. Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, cold rooms, and air conditioning units. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system faults and malfunctions using diagnostic tools, meters, and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on refrigeration systems, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, replacing filters, and lubricating moving parts. Test refrigeration systems for leaks, pressure, and temperature using refrigerant leak detectors, pressure gauges, and thermometers. Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant gases in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Replace defective or worn-out components and parts, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and controls. Adjust system controls and settings to optimize performance, efficiency, and temperature regulation. Install and connect refrigeration piping, tubing, and electrical wiring according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. Conduct functional tests and performance evaluations on repaired or newly installed refrigeration systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications. Document service and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and labor hours, accurately and maintain detailed service records. Provide technical support and assistance to customers and end-users regarding operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while working with refrigerants, electrical systems, and heavy equipment. Requirements: Diploma or degree in Refrigeration Technology, HVAC/R Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role, preferably in commercial or industrial refrigeration. Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and refrigeration cycle components. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system faults. Experience with refrigeration tools and equipment, such as refrigerant gauges, leak detectors, vacuum pumps, and recovery units. EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification) is required. Excellent mechanical and technical skills to perform precision tasks and repairs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure proper installation and repair of refrigeration systems. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and suppliers. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet service deadlines and customer expectations. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts, as required.
