We are currently seeking a talented and experienced South Indian Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to the creation of delicious and flavorful South Indian dishes. Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambhar, rasam, curries, and chutneys, following traditional recipes and cooking techniques. Ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities are carried out according to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Source and select high-quality ingredients, spices, and seasonings for use in South Indian recipes, and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and spoilage. Coordinate with kitchen staff members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during peak service hours, including timely food preparation, cooking, and plating. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff members, including cooks, assistants, and apprentices, in South Indian cooking techniques and recipes. Monitor food production and presentation to ensure that dishes are prepared and served according to established quality and presentation standards. Develop and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients, customer feedback, and market trends, while maintaining authenticity and integrity of South Indian cuisine. Collaborate with restaurant management and other chefs to create special menus, promotions, and themed events featuring South Indian cuisine. Stay updated on new cooking trends, techniques, and ingredients in South Indian cuisine, and incorporate innovative elements into menu development. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas. Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or similar role, with a minimum of [insert number] years of experience in preparing and cooking South Indian cuisine.
