We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications and welding requirements. Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques, methods, and materials based on the type of metal, thickness, and desired weld strength. Operate welding machines, including MIG, TIG, ARC, and spot welders, to join or cut metal pieces accurately and efficiently. Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and beveling to ensure proper welding penetration and adhesion. Position and secure metal parts or structures in place using clamps, jigs, and fixtures, and tack weld components together before final welding. Monitor welding parameters such as voltage, current, and wire feed speed to maintain quality and consistency of welds. Inspect welds for defects, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure weld integrity. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Collaborate with other team members, including fabricators, fitters, and engineers, to complete projects on time and according to specifications. Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and project progress. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Certification in welding techniques and procedures (e.g., AWS, ASME) is desirable but not mandatory. Proficiency in operating various welding equipment and techniques, including MIG, TIG, ARC, and spot welding. Strong knowledge of metal properties, welding processes, and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to work with tools and equipment in a physically demanding environment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
