We specialize in retreading and repairing various types of tyres for commercial and industrial vehicles. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tyre Retreading Technician to join our team. Responsibilities: Inspect used tyres to assess their condition and determine suitability for retreading. Remove old tread rubber from tyres using mechanical buffing machines or hand tools. Prepare tyre casings for retreading by cleaning, repairing, and buffing them to remove imperfections and ensure proper adhesion of new tread rubber. Apply new tread rubber to tyre casings using hot and cold curing processes, ensuring uniform thickness and alignment. Operate retreading machinery and equipment, including tyre presses, curing chambers, and tread builders, according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Monitor and control curing temperatures, pressures, and curing times to achieve optimal bonding and curing of tread rubber. Inspect finished retreaded tyres for quality, including tread depth, adhesion, and appearance, and make any necessary adjustments or repairs. Test retreaded tyres for balance, alignment, and other performance characteristics, making adjustments as needed. Keep accurate records of work performed, including retreading processes, materials used, and quality control checks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the retreading workshop, including cleaning and maintaining retreading equipment and tools. Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times and report any safety hazards or incidents to management. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a Tyre Retreading Technician or similar role, preferably in a tyre retreading facility. Strong technical skills in tyre retreading processes, equipment operation, and quality control. Familiarity with different types of tyres, tread patterns, and rubber compounds. Ability to use retreading machinery and tools effectively and safely. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
