CCTV Technician Job Opening in Kottayam

We specialize in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of CCTV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CCTV Technician to join our team. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, monitors, and related equipment. Mount and secure cameras in strategic locations, ensuring optimal coverage and functionality. Run cables and wiring for power and data transmission, and connect cameras to the central monitoring system. Program and set up DVRs/NVRs for recording and remote access, including configuring settings such as motion detection, recording schedules, and video storage. Conduct on-site surveys and assessments to determine the layout and placement of CCTV equipment. Test CCTV systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meeting client requirements. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs or replacements of faulty components as needed. Provide training to clients on how to use and operate CCTV systems effectively. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service visits. Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends in CCTV systems and security solutions. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or similar role, preferably in the security industry. Strong technical skills in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting CCTV systems. Familiarity with CCTV equipment brands and models, such as Hikvision, Dahua, and Axis. Knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
