As an Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your primary goal will be to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, analyze financial data, and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making by management. This role requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting principles and software. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations, to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the organization's financial data. Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reimbursements, in accordance with established procedures and accounting standards. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to management and stakeholders. Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and potential risks, and provide recommendations to management based on your findings. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy and completeness of records. Prepare and submit tax returns, compliance reports, and other regulatory filings in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulations, and deadlines. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including the development of annual budgets, financial projections, and variance analysis, to support strategic planning and decision-making by management. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, human resources, and operations, to gather financial information, provide support, and address accounting-related inquiries and issues. Maintain documentation and records of financial transactions, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards, and ensure that the organization remains in compliance with relevant requirements. Provide support during internal and external audits, assisting auditors with inquiries, providing documentation and explanations as needed, and ensuring audit findings are addressed promptly. Assist with special projects, ad-hoc financial analyses, and process improvements initiatives as assigned by management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is preferred. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, with the ability to apply them effectively in a business context. Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle), as well as Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and variances, and draw meaningful insights and conclusions. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping, reporting, and analysis. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential financial information and sensitive matters. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and deadlines, and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as required.
