As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness throughout the hotel, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for our guests.. Your primary goal will be to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, exceeding our guests' expectations and contributing to their overall satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities: Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms. Ensure that all amenities, toiletries, and supplies are replenished in guest rooms according to hotel standards. Clean and maintain public areas of the hotel, such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, and stairways, ensuring a neat and welcoming environment for guests. Empty trash containers, collect and dispose of waste properly, and separate recyclable materials according to hotel policies. Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, light switches, and remote controls, to prevent the spread of germs. Perform deep cleaning tasks on a regular basis, such as shampooing carpets, washing windows, and polishing furniture. Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of all areas. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance department for prompt resolution. Handle guest requests for additional housekeeping services or amenities courteously and promptly. Assist with the inventory management of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. Follow hotel policies and procedures related to safety, security, and guest service at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment. Collaborate with other housekeeping team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining a professional demeanor. Uphold the hotel's reputation for cleanliness, quality, and guest satisfaction through diligent and attentive housekeeping service. Requirements: Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning and maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, bend, stoop, lift, and stand for extended periods. Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed. Ability to communicate effectively in Malayalam or English; additional language skills are a plus.
