Responsibilities: Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture, and replenishing amenities. Ensure that all assigned rooms and areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently according to established standards and procedures. Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and compliance with hotel standards before guest arrival. Restock housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, linens, and other necessary items for efficient room cleaning. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Empty trash containers, remove used linens and towels, and transport them to the laundry area for washing and replacement. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and common areas. Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items in guest rooms and public areas to maintain a neat and attractive appearance. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning duties to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance department. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals and operating cleaning equipment. Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and standards of conduct, ensuring professionalism, discretion, and respect for guest privacy. Assist with special cleaning projects, deep cleaning tasks, and room turn-down service as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or manager. Collaborate with other departments, including front desk, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues or requests promptly. Attend training sessions, meetings, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in housekeeping techniques, cleaning procedures, and customer service. Provide friendly and courteous service to guests, respond to inquiries and requests, and strive to exceed guest expectations in all interactions. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety procedures. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items for extended periods. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating with colleagues. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required. Fluency in Malayalam and English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
