Responsibilities: Diagnose hardware and software issues in laptops, including system crashes, hardware failures, and software errors. Disassemble laptops to access internal components, including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and other peripherals. Inspect and test laptop components for signs of damage, wear, or malfunction, using diagnostic tools and equipment. Replace or repair faulty laptop components, including screens, keyboards, touchpads, batteries, chargers, and connectors. Upgrade laptop hardware components, such as RAM, hard drives, and processors, to improve performance and functionality. Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications on laptops. Perform data backup and recovery procedures for laptops, including transferring data, restoring files, and reinstalling software. Clean and maintain laptops, including removing dust and debris, cleaning screens and keyboards, and applying thermal paste. Provide technical support and assistance to customers, answering inquiries, providing advice, and explaining repair options. Document repair activities, including parts replaced, procedures followed, and test results, using repair tracking systems or software. Keep abreast of new laptop models, hardware components, and software updates, and maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Electronics, Computer Hardware, or a related field. Proven experience (X years) as a Laptop Technician or in a similar role, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing laptops. Strong knowledge of laptop hardware components, including processors, memory modules, storage drives, and peripherals. Familiarity with laptop operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment for laptop repairs. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex hardware and software issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Fluency in Malayalam and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
