CCTV Technician Job Opening in Kozhikode

As part of our expansion, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated CCTV Technician to join our team.You will play a critical role in ensuring the effective operation and performance of CCTV cameras, recording devices, and related equipment to enhance security and surveillance capabilities. Responsibilities: Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the optimal placement of CCTV cameras and equipment based on client requirements and site conditions. Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, cables, and other surveillance equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Mount and secure CCTV cameras in indoor and outdoor locations, ensuring proper alignment, coverage, and visibility. Install and configure network connections, power supplies, and wiring systems for CCTV installations, adhering to safety regulations and best practices. Test and calibrate CCTV cameras and recording devices to ensure functionality, image clarity, and video quality. Set up remote viewing and monitoring capabilities for clients, configuring network settings, port forwarding, and mobile applications for remote access. Program and customize CCTV systems, including motion detection, recording schedules, and alarm triggers, to meet client security requirements. Conduct system upgrades, software updates, and firmware installations to enhance CCTV system performance and security features. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform diagnostic tests on CCTV systems, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner. Provide training and support to clients on the use of CCTV systems, including operating procedures, software interfaces, and troubleshooting techniques. Maintain accurate records of CCTV installations, configurations, service calls, and equipment inventory using designated systems or software. Collaborate with sales team members to provide technical expertise and support during pre-sales consultations, site visits, and project planning. Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in CCTV surveillance systems to recommend innovative solutions and improvements. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (X years) as a CCTV technician or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in CCTV system installation, configuration, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of CCTV camera types, brands, and models, as well as familiarity with DVRs, NVRs, and video management software (VMS). Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment for CCTV installations and troubleshooting. Familiarity with networking concepts, IP addressing, and TCP/IP protocols, as well as experience with network switches, routers, and cabling. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to analyze complex CCTV system issues and implement effective solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Fluency in Malayalam and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
