Job Title: Architect Location: Palakkad, Kerala Job Description: As an Architect in Palakkad, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and implementation of architectural projects ranging from residential buildings to commercial complexes. You will be responsible for translating client requirements and design concepts into functional and aesthetically pleasing structures. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role: Conceptualization and Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgetary constraints. Develop design concepts, sketches, and architectural drawings that reflect the client's vision and project requirements. Create 3D models and renderings to visualize design proposals and communicate ideas effectively. Space Planning and Layout: Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to assess the site's characteristics, constraints, and opportunities. Develop space plans, floor plans, and building layouts that optimize functionality, circulation, and spatial relationships. Incorporate principles of sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship into the design process. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and other specialists to integrate their input into the design documentation. Review and revise drawings and documents as needed to address feedback and ensure accuracy. Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to oversee the construction process and ensure adherence to design intent. Conduct periodic site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with specifications. Client Communication and Collaboration: Present design proposals, concepts, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner. Solicit feedback and incorporate client input into the design process to achieve desired outcomes. Foster positive working relationships with clients, consultants, and project team members to facilitate effective collaboration and communication. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution. Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) in India. Proven experience in architectural design and project management, preferably with a focus on residential, commercial, or institutional projects. Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong design sensibility, creativity, and ability to innovate while meeting functional requirements and budget constraints. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Kerala. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts and interact effectively with clients and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
