Responsibilities: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications to plan and execute bodybuilding projects. Fabricate vehicle bodies using various materials, such as steel, aluminum, and fiberglass, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Weld and assemble components to construct vehicle bodies, including frames, walls, roofs, floors, and doors. Install specialized equipment, such as hydraulic lifts, refrigeration units, tailgates, and shelving systems, as per customer requirements. Cut, trim, and shape materials using power tools and hand tools to achieve precise measurements and fit. Apply sealants, coatings, and finishes to protect vehicle bodies from corrosion and environmental damage. Perform quality checks and inspections throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and materials. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Welding, Fabrication, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (X years) as a Body Building Technician or in a similar role, preferably in the automotive or fabrication industry. Proficiency in welding techniques, such as MIG welding, TIG welding, and arc welding, with the ability to work with various materials. Strong knowledge of vehicle construction principles, structural design, and fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Experience with power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment. Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and assembly. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends to meet project deadlines.
