Job Description: As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately processing guest transactions, managing billing inquiries, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded and reconciled efficiently. You will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to our guests and maintaining the financial integrity of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Process guest transactions, including room charges, restaurant bills, retail purchases, and other services, accurately and efficiently. Enter billing information into the computerized billing system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all data. Generate and print guest bills, receipts, and invoices, verifying charges, discounts, and taxes as applicable. Accept payments from guests in various forms, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and electronic payments, and issue receipts accordingly. Reconcile daily sales and transactions against cash and credit card payments, balancing cash drawers and preparing bank deposits. Manage billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies or issues related to charges, payments, or billing statements promptly and courteously. Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, transactions, and payments, ensuring confidentiality and security of financial information. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on billing activity, revenue, and accounts receivable for management review. Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk, housekeeping, and accounting, to ensure accurate billing and guest account management. Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, organizing documents, and answering phone calls or emails related to billing inquiries. Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and billing systems to ensure compliance and efficiency in billing processes. Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests, addressing questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and courteous manner. Qualifications: Previous experience in billing, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and reconcile financial transactions. Proficiency in using computerized billing systems, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service to guests.
