The Dishwasher will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Responsibilities: Dishwashing: Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using dishwashing equipment, such as commercial dishwashers. Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and rinsed to meet hygiene standards. Kitchen Equipment Cleaning: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including cutting boards, mixing bowls, food processors, and cooking utensils. Remove food residue, grease, and stains using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. Pre-Soaking and Scraping: Pre-soak dishes and utensils in detergent solution to loosen food debris and stains before washing. Scrape and remove leftover food particles from plates, pots, and pans to facilitate cleaning. Dish Stacking and Organization: Stack and organize clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated storage areas. Ensure that clean items are stored neatly and efficiently to maximize space and accessibility. Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of kitchen trash and recyclables in designated receptacles. Empty trash bins, replace liners, and transport trash to designated disposal areas as needed. Floor Care: Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and free of debris. Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent slip hazards. Assistance to Kitchen Staff: Provide support and assistance to kitchen staff as needed, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks. Collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous materials. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift heavy objects as required in a dishwashing role. Capacity to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in dishwashing and cleaning tasks. Ability to identify and address cleanliness issues, stains, and areas requiring special attention. Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities and meeting work schedules. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow instructions accurately. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to achieve common goals and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.
