The Sandwich Maker will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and other menu items according to customer orders and established recipes. Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items according to customer preferences and specifications. Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly portioned, and assembled according to established recipes and quality standards. Ingredient Assembly: Layer sandwich ingredients, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, spreads, and condiments, in the correct order and proportions to create visually appealing and flavorful sandwiches. Pay attention to detail and presentation to enhance the overall dining experience. Customization: Accommodate customer preferences and special requests for sandwich customization, such as ingredient substitutions, omissions, or additions. Interact with customers courteously and professionally to ensure that their orders are prepared to their satisfaction. Grilling and Heating: Grill or heat sandwiches as needed to enhance their taste and texture. Use griddles, panini presses, or sandwich grills to achieve desired levels of crispiness, warmth, and melty cheese consistency. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on prepared food items to ensure that they meet company standards for taste, freshness, and appearance. Monitor ingredient freshness, expiration dates, and overall food quality to maintain high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sandwich preparation area, including work surfaces, equipment, utensils, and storage areas. Adhere to food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety. Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to customers at all times. Take customer orders accurately, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on customer preferences and dietary restrictions. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers to coordinate tasks and prioritize orders during peak hours. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in food preparation, sandwich making, or a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Food Safety Certification: Possession of a valid food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and precision in food preparation, ingredient assembly, and presentation. Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards accurately. Time Management: Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize orders effectively during busy periods. Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers. Willingness to take feedback and instructions from supervisors and incorporate them into daily tasks.
