Paint Mixing: Mix paint colors and finishes according to manufacturer specifications and customer preferences, ensuring accurate color matching and consistency in paint quality. Paint Application: Apply paint to vehicle surfaces using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, following proper techniques and procedures to achieve uniform coverage, proper adhesion, and desired finish texture. Color Matching: Match paint colors to vehicle specifications, paint codes, or customer samples, making adjustments as needed to achieve accurate color reproduction and seamless blending with existing paintwork. Painting Techniques: Employ various painting techniques, such as base coat/clear coat application, metallic flake application, blending, and fading, to create custom finishes and effects as requested by customers. Detailing and Refinishing: Perform detailing and refinishing tasks, including wet sanding, buffing, and polishing, to remove imperfections, enhance gloss, and achieve a smooth, mirror-like finish on painted surfaces. Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for flaws, runs, or inconsistencies, and make necessary touch-ups or corrections to ensure high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction with the final results. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling paint materials, solvents, and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment, spray booths, and ventilation systems, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning and longevity of equipment. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Vocational training or certification in automotive painting or collision repair is preferred. Experience: Proven experience as an Automobile Painter or Automotive Refinish Technician, with a demonstrated track record of producing high-quality paint finishes on vehicles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in automotive painting techniques, including surface preparation, paint mixing, spraying, and refinishing, using a variety of painting equipment and materials. Color Matching: Ability to match paint colors accurately and consistently, utilizing color charts, mixing formulas, and tinting methods to achieve precise color reproduction. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship to ensure flawless paint application, blending, and finishing, and achieve superior aesthetic results on vehicles. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks with precision and accuracy.
