Thodupuzha Auto Parts is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Spare Parts Incharge to oversee our spare parts inventory and distribution operations in Thodupuzha. As the Spare Parts Incharge, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, sourcing spare parts, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of parts to support our automotive repair and maintenance services. Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, including stock levels, incoming shipments, and outgoing orders, using computerized inventory management systems. Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and reorder spare parts as needed to prevent stockouts and ensure availability of parts for automotive repair and maintenance services. Supplier Coordination: Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing for the procurement of spare parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of orders. Order Processing: Receive, process, and fulfill customer orders for spare parts, verifying part numbers, quantities, and specifications, and coordinating with the sales team and technicians as needed. Quality Control: Inspect incoming spare parts shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition, and address any discrepancies or damages with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of spare parts transactions, including invoices, receipts, and shipping documents, and prepare regular reports on inventory levels, sales, and stock movements. Customer Service: Assist customers in identifying and sourcing the right spare parts for their vehicles, providing product information, pricing, and availability, and resolving any inquiries or issues related to spare parts orders. Warehouse Management: Organize and maintain the spare parts warehouse in a clean, orderly, and efficient manner, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory items. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations governing warehouse operations, including proper handling of hazardous materials, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Additional certification or training in inventory management, supply chain management, or related field is a plus. Experience: Proven experience in spare parts management, inventory control, or warehouse operations, preferably in the automotive industry. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive spare parts, components, and systems, and the ability to identify parts based on part numbers, descriptions, and vehicle specifications. Computer Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software, spreadsheet applications, and electronic data interchange (EDI) systems to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders, and convey information clearly and effectively. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory data, processing orders, and inspecting spare parts for quality and completeness. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to spare parts availability, procurement, and delivery, and implement effective solutions to resolve them. Teamwork: Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
