Responsibilities: Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests and imaging studies, to establish accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans. Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests, such as electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography (echo), stress tests, cardiac catheterization, and cardiac imaging studies (MRI, CT scans), to evaluate cardiac function and identify abnormalities or diseases. Medical Treatment: Prescribe and administer appropriate medical treatments, medications, and therapies to manage cardiovascular conditions, alleviate symptoms, and improve patients' overall heart health and quality of life. Procedural Interventions: Perform and supervise interventional procedures and interventions, such as angioplasty, stenting, pacemaker implantation, and cardiac ablation, to treat cardiovascular disorders and provide symptom relief. Patient Counseling: Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular conditions, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures, empowering them to actively participate in their care and make informed decisions about their heart health. Collaborative Care: Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, cardiac rehabilitation specialists, and cardiac nurses, to coordinate patient care, ensure continuity of care, and optimize treatment outcomes. Clinical Research: Participate in clinical research studies, trials, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing the field of cardiology, enhancing patient care practices, and contributing to medical knowledge and innovation. Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest advances, guidelines, and best practices in cardiology through ongoing professional development activities, including attending conferences, seminars, and continuing medical education (CME) programs. Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality assurance standards, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in the provision of cardiology services, maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and ethical conduct. Requirements: Education: Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized medical school, followed by completion of a residency program in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiology. Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in cardiology from a recognized medical board or governing body. Licensure: Valid medical license to practice as a Cardiologist in Kerala, India. Experience: Previous experience practicing as a Cardiologist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting, is highly desirable. Clinical Skills: Proficiency in performing cardiac examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging studies, and managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and disorders. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
