Inspect products for defects, damage, or discrepancies before packing, and notify supervisors of any issues or quality concerns identified during the inspection process. Arrange and organize products in packaging containers according to prescribed methods, layouts, or stacking configurations, ensuring efficient use of space and optimal protection during transit. Seal, tape, label, or mark packages with identifying information, including product codes, batch numbers, shipping labels, and handling instructions, using manual or automated packing equipment. Weigh packages, calculate shipping costs, and affix postage or shipping labels to packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with carrier requirements and shipping regulations. Operate packing machinery, such as tape dispensers, heat sealers, shrink wrap machines, or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently, following operating procedures and safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the packing area, including removing debris, disposing of packaging materials, and organizing packing supplies and equipment. Assist with inventory control tasks, such as stock counting, inventory reconciliation, and restocking packing materials, to ensure adequate supplies are available for packing operations. Collaborate with warehouse staff, logistics team members, and shipping personnel to coordinate packing schedules, prioritize orders, and meet shipping deadlines effectively. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in packing, warehouse, or manufacturing roles is preferred. Basic math skills, including the ability to perform calculations for weighing, measuring, and estimating packaging materials and shipping costs. Attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting products, packing orders, and labeling packages to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry packages, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods during packing and shipping activities. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to manipulate packaging materials, seal containers, and operate packing machinery safely and effectively. Ability to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced packing environment.
