We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Hardware Technician to join our team in Alappuzha. The Hardware Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware issues in various electronic devices, including computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Responsibilities: Diagnose hardware problems in computers, laptops, printers, and other electronic devices by conducting thorough tests and assessments. Perform hardware repairs and replacements, including but not limited to, replacing faulty components, upgrading RAM or storage devices, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware components, such as CPUs, motherboards, memory modules, hard drives, and optical drives. Troubleshoot and repair common hardware issues, including display problems, overheating, power supply failures, and peripheral malfunctions. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning dust buildup, applying thermal paste, and checking for signs of wear and tear. Provide technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and offering solutions to hardware problems. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for warranty repairs or replacement parts, ensuring timely resolution of hardware issues. Maintain accurate records of hardware repairs, including details of components replaced, work performed, and warranty information. Assist in inventory management, including tracking hardware components and peripherals, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while handling and repairing electronic devices, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Requirements: Proven experience as a Hardware Technician or similar role, with a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in hardware repair and maintenance. Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, and peripherals. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues and performing repairs using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and macOS, and experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically to identify and resolve hardware issues. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner. Detail-oriented approach to diagnosing and documenting hardware repairs, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records. Certification or formal training in computer hardware repair, electronics, or related field is preferred. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate customer needs or urgent repair requests.
