Responsibilities: Recipe Preparation: Prepare and organize ingredients needed for making a variety of snacks, including savory items like samosas, pakoras, cutlets, and other fried or baked snacks. Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in taste and quality. Cooking and Frying: Use cooking equipment such as fryers, griddles, and ovens to cook snacks according to established cooking methods. Monitor cooking temperatures, adjust heat settings, and maintain cooking times to achieve desired texture and color. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on prepared snacks to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards. Dispose of any snacks that do not meet quality criteria and report any issues to the supervisor. Presentation and Garnishing: Plate snacks attractively, garnishing them with sauces, herbs, or other toppings as required. Ensure that snacks are presented in a visually appealing manner that enhances their overall appeal. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils. Follow food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of snack ingredients and notify the supervisor of any shortages or replenishment needs. Rotate stock to ensure the use of fresh ingredients and minimize food wastage. Customer Service: Assist in serving snacks to customers, taking orders, and providing information about menu items as needed. Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience as a Snacks Maker, Cook, or in a similar culinary role is preferred. Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods for preparing a variety of snacks. Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining food quality and presentation standards. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
