As a Shawarma Maker, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and authentic shawarmas in accordance with customer preferences and restaurant standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality and consistency of our shawarmas, providing a delightful dining experience for our guests. This position requires expertise in shawarma preparation techniques, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence. Responsibilities: Shawarma Preparation: Prepare shawarma meat (chicken, beef, or lamb) by marinating, seasoning, and stacking it on the vertical rotisserie grill. Monitor the cooking process and ensure that the shawarma meat is cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. Slice the cooked shawarma meat thinly and serve it in pita bread or wraps, accompanied by various sauces, vegetables, and garnishes. Ingredient Preparation: Prepare and slice vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and onions, to be used as shawarma fillings and toppings. Prepare sauces and condiments, such as garlic sauce, tahini, and pickles, to accompany the shawarma. Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment. Ensure that the shawarma grill and equipment are cleaned and maintained regularly to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and take their orders in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide recommendations and suggestions based on customer preferences and inquiries. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests related to shawarma preparation with professionalism and attentiveness. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of shawarma ingredients, including meat, vegetables, and sauces, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor or manager. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of shawarma ingredients as needed. Ensure that ingredients are used efficiently to minimize waste and maintain freshness. Qualifications and Skills: Prior experience as a Shawarma Maker, Grill Cook, or similar role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of shawarma preparation techniques and familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine. Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
