As a North Indian Chef, you will lead the culinary team in preparing and presenting authentic North Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and service. Your expertise in North Indian culinary traditions, flavors, and techniques will be instrumental in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role requires culinary leadership, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities: Menu Development: Develop and curate a diverse menu of North Indian dishes, including curries, kebabs, tandoori specialties, bread, and desserts. Innovate and introduce new dishes while staying true to the authentic flavors and traditions of North Indian cuisine. Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus, special promotions, and tasting events. Food Preparation and Cooking: Oversee the preparation and cooking of North Indian dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Train and mentor kitchen staff in North Indian cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and presentation. Monitor food quality and taste, making adjustments as needed to achieve consistent results. Kitchen Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and scheduling staff. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and training sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations. Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular tastings and evaluations of dishes to maintain high standards of quality and taste. Monitor portion sizes and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction. Address any issues or concerns related to food quality, consistency, or guest feedback promptly and effectively. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the culinary team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging collaboration and creativity. Provide guidance, feedback, and training to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a North Indian Chef or Head Chef specializing in North Indian cuisine. Extensive knowledge of North Indian culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary school or institution. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team. Creativity and innovation in menu development and dish presentation.
