As a Denter, you will play a crucial role in repairing and restoring the structural integrity and appearance of vehicles that have been damaged due to accidents or wear and tear. Your primary responsibility will be to repair dents, dings, and other structural damages on vehicle bodies, ensuring that they are restored to their original condition. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Assessment and Diagnosis: Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage to the body, frame, and structural components. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify dents, creases, and other imperfections that require repair. Body Repair and Restoration: Use various tools and equipment, such as hammers, dollies, and dent pullers, to repair dents and dings on vehicle panels. Straighten and reshape damaged metal panels, frames, and structural components to restore their original shape and alignment. Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks to repair or replace damaged sections of vehicle bodies, frames, or chassis. Cut, trim, and shape metal panels using welding equipment and power tools to fit seamlessly with existing bodywork. Panel Replacement and Alignment: Remove and replace damaged vehicle panels, such as doors, fenders, hoods, or bumpers, with new or refurbished parts. Align and fit replacement panels properly to ensure a seamless appearance and proper function. Surface Preparation and Finishing: Prepare repaired areas for painting by sanding, grinding, and applying fillers or primers to smooth out imperfections. Ensure that repaired surfaces are clean, smooth, and free of debris before proceeding with painting or refinishing. Quality Control and Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure that all work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Make any necessary adjustments or refinements to achieve the desired finish and appearance. Qualifications and Skills: Prior experience as an Auto Body Repair Technician or Denter in an automotive repair shop or collision center is required. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for metalwork and body repair tasks. Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques, materials, and industry best practices. Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy to achieve high-quality results. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks in various positions, including bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy objects. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additional Information: This is a full-time position based in Kollam, Kerala.
