AC Technician Job Opening in Ernakulam

As an AC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine inspections, and ensuring that air conditioning units operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Setup: Install new air conditioning systems, including ductwork, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring, according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes. Set up and configure thermostats, controls, and other components to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Maintenance and Servicing: Conduct regular inspections of air conditioning units to identify and address potential issues, such as leaks, worn parts, or malfunctioning components. Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning coils, changing filters, and lubricating moving parts, to extend the lifespan of equipment. Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in air conditioning systems using specialized tools and equipment, and determine the root cause of problems. Repair or replace defective parts, such as compressors, motors, fans, or electronic controls, to restore proper functionality. Refrigerant Handling and Compliance: Handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations and industry best practices. Ensure proper disposal of old refrigerants and compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing refrigerant usage. Customer Service and Communication: Interact professionally with customers to understand their cooling needs, explain service options, and provide cost estimates for repairs or installations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers to coordinate work schedules, share information, and address concerns. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or certification in HVAC/R technology, refrigeration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as an AC Technician or HVAC technician, with hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC principles, refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters to test and troubleshoot air conditioning equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required for field service positions. Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Additional Information: This is a full-time position based in Ernakulam, Kerala. Training may be provided on specific equipment models, manufacturer guidelines, and safety procedures.
