As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Your role involves maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing support to management in making informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software. Key Responsibilities: Financial Data Entry and Recording: Record financial transactions in the accounting system, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data entry and maintain organized records for easy retrieval. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices, verify vendor invoices, and prepare payment requests for approval. Issue customer invoices, track accounts receivable balances, and follow up on overdue payments as needed. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank transactions and accounting records. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a periodic basis. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with management. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Tax Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings. Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and in a timely manner to avoid penalties or fines. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Additional Information: Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is preferred but not required. Continuing education and training opportunities may be provided to enhance accounting skills and stay updated on industry developments.
