As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing inventory, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods within the organization. Your role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating with suppliers, and optimizing inventory control processes to support operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage inventory effectively. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of goods, materials, or supplies. Organize and maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and identifying discrepancies or shortages. Storage and Organization: Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory in designated storage areas, warehouses, or shelves. Implement best practices for inventory storage, including labeling, categorizing, and arranging items for easy access and retrieval. Order Fulfillment: Process and fulfill internal requests for inventory items, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and labeling of goods. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders in a timely manner and meet operational requirements. Inventory Control and Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to anticipate stock shortages and replenish inventory as needed. Place orders with suppliers, track order status, and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, transfers, and adjustments. Update inventory databases, spreadsheets, or software systems to reflect real-time inventory levels and movements. Quality Control and Compliance: Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and condition, and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate authorities. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management and storage. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional certification or training in inventory management is a plus. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse, retail, or manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in inventory management software, spreadsheets, or databases for tracking and reporting inventory data. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials, if applicable. Additional Information: This position may involve working in a warehouse or storage facility environment, with exposure to various weather conditions and physical exertion. Training may be provided on company-specific inventory management systems, processes, and procedures.
