As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic equipment and systems. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Setup: Install, set up, and configure electronic equipment, including audio-visual systems, telecommunications devices, security systems, and industrial control systems, according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines. Test electronic components and systems to ensure proper functionality and integration with existing infrastructure. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and diagnostics on electronic equipment to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. Troubleshoot electronic systems, circuit boards, and components to diagnose malfunctions and implement effective repairs or replacements. Calibration and Testing: Calibrate electronic instruments and devices to maintain accuracy and precision in measurement and control processes. Conduct performance testing and quality assurance checks on electronic systems to verify compliance with standards and specifications. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, repair procedures, and service history using electronic databases or management systems. Prepare detailed reports, work orders, and service logs to document maintenance procedures, findings, and recommendations for improvements. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards when working with electronic equipment, hazardous materials, and electrical circuits. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, electromagnetic interference (EMI) standards, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for electronic systems. Customer Service: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, customers, and colleagues in troubleshooting electronic problems, resolving technical issues, and optimizing system performance. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, supervisors, and clients, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an electronics technician, preferably in a technical support or maintenance role. Strong technical skills in electronic circuitry, troubleshooting techniques, and repair methods. Knowledge of electronic components, devices, and systems, including analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators. Familiarity with electronic testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and software for troubleshooting and analysis. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
