As a Food and Beverage Service Staff member, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests. Your primary responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to guest needs in a professional and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities: Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist guests with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests or preferences whenever possible. Order Taking and Processing: Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using a handheld device or order pad to record preferences and transmit orders to the kitchen. Confirm orders with guests to ensure accuracy and address any special requests or dietary restrictions. Food and Beverage Service: Serve meals and drinks to guests, following proper service etiquette and presentation standards. Monitor tables for additional needs, such as drink refills, condiments, or extra utensils, and fulfill requests promptly. Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations on menu items and answering questions about food and beverage options. Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Upselling and Promotion: Promote specials, featured menu items, and upsell opportunities to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Suggest wine pairings, appetizers, desserts, or additional items to complement guests' meal selections. Payment Handling: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and provide change or receipts as required. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return for future dining experiences. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality roles is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues. Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Basic math skills for processing orders, calculating bills, and handling payments accurately. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the operational needs of the restaurant. Physical stamina and endurance to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods during shifts. Additional Information: Training on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards may be provided to new hires.
