Develop prototypes or sample garments to visualize design concepts and evaluate fit, drape, and construction techniques. Material and Trim Selection: Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and trims for use in design prototypes, considering factors such as quality, cost, and availability. Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, or textile mills to procure materials and negotiate pricing and delivery terms. Pattern Making and Garment Construction: Draft patterns or create pattern templates based on design specifications, ensuring accurate sizing, proportions, and seam allowances. Oversee garment construction processes, providing guidance to pattern makers, sample sewers, and production teams to ensure designs are executed according to specifications. Fit and Quality Control: Conduct fittings and garment trials to assess fit, comfort, and overall aesthetic appeal, making necessary adjustments to patterns or designs as needed. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred.
