As an Electronic Engineering Faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, conducting research, and providing academic guidance to students pursuing studies in electronic engineering. This role involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, supervising student projects, and contributing to the development of the electronic engineering curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, research experience, and a passion for educating future engineers. Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Instruction: Develop and deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials for courses in electronic engineering, covering topics such as circuit analysis, digital electronics, signal processing, and microelectronics. Design course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials to engage students and facilitate learning outcomes. Provide mentorship and academic support to students, including advising on course selection, academic progress, and career pathways. Research and Scholarship: Conduct research in the field of electronic engineering, with a focus on advancing knowledge and innovation in areas such as integrated circuits, electronic devices, communication systems, or embedded systems. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, and collaborate with colleagues and industry partners on research projects. Seek external funding opportunities and grants to support research initiatives and academic programs in electronic engineering. Student Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations, providing guidance on experimental design, data analysis, and project management. Evaluate student performance through assessments, exams, and project presentations, providing constructive feedback and academic support to help students achieve their learning objectives. Curriculum Development: Participate in curriculum planning, review, and revision activities to ensure that electronic engineering programs meet academic standards, industry requirements, and technological advancements. Integrate innovative teaching methodologies, learning technologies, and real-world applications into the curriculum to enhance student learning and engagement. Professional Development and Service: Engage in professional development activities to stay current with developments in electronic engineering research, pedagogy, and industry trends. Serve on departmental committees, participate in academic governance, and contribute to university service initiatives and community outreach efforts. Qualifications and Skills: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in one or more subfields of electronic engineering, with a record of scholarly research and publications. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with a commitment to excellence in education and student mentorship. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, simulation tools, and software packages commonly used in electronic engineering education and research. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and industry partners in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
