As a Security Officer/Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises and personnel in Kozhikode. You will monitor surveillance equipment, patrol designated areas, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, physical fitness, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. Key Responsibilities: Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and deter security risks, unauthorized access, and suspicious activities. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any security breaches or unusual behavior. Report any security incidents, breaches, or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities promptly. Access Control: Control access to the premises by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor logs. Ensure that only authorized personnel and visitors enter restricted areas, and enforce security protocols and procedures. Security Screening: Conduct security screenings of individuals and their belongings, including bag checks and metal detector scans, as necessary. Respond promptly to alarms and alerts, investigate the cause, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation. Emergency Response: Act as the first responder in case of emergencies such as fire, medical emergencies, or security threats. Implement emergency procedures, evacuate personnel if required, and provide assistance to emergency responders as needed. Report Writing and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, patrols, and any unusual occurrences in the security logbook. Prepare detailed incident reports and submit them to the security supervisor or management as required. Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to employees, visitors, and customers regarding security-related inquiries or concerns. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with individuals on the premises. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in security management or law enforcement are advantageous. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. Strong observation skills and attention to detail to detect security risks and identify suspicious behavior. Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse individuals. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations. Familiarity with security equipment such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarms. Understanding of security regulations, protocols, and procedures. Additional Information: This position may involve working shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in Malayalam and basic proficiency in English is preferred. A valid security license or permit may be required as per local regulations.
