We are looking for talented Welders to perform welding and fabrication tasks according to project specifications and industry standards. The Welder will be responsible for operating welding equipment, joining metal parts, and ensuring the structural integrity and quality of welded components. Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements and specifications. Set up welding equipment, such as MIG welders, TIG welders, and arc welders, and select appropriate welding techniques and materials based on project requirements. Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, and contaminants using wire brushes, grinders, and chemical solvents. Weld metal components and structures using various welding processes, such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). Monitor welding parameters, such as voltage, current, and wire feed speed, and make adjustments to ensure proper weld penetration, fusion, and appearance. Inspect welded joints and workpieces for defects, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and perform repairs or rework as needed. Operate cutting equipment, such as oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, and saws, to prepare metal materials for welding and fabrication. Position and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs, and fixtures to maintain alignment and stability during welding. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the workplace, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute welding projects, ensuring compliance with project schedules and deadlines. Complete welding-related documentation, such as welding procedure specifications (WPS), welder qualification records (WQR), and material test reports (MTR), as required. Requirements: Proven work experience as a Welder or in a similar role, with a minimum of [insert number] years of experience in welding and fabrication. Proficiency in welding processes and techniques, including MIG welding, TIG welding, arc welding, and oxy-fuel welding. Certification in welding from a recognized institution or vocational training program is preferred but not required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as needed. Valid welding certifications or qualifications, such as AWS, ASME, or equivalent, are advantageous.
