We are seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential support to our nursing team and ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients. The Nursing Assistant will perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses, contributing to the efficient operation of our healthcare facility and the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation, while preserving their dignity and privacy. Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff. Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of patient information. Help patients with eating and drinking, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and recording food and fluid intake as directed by the nursing staff. Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers and promote comfort and circulation. Assist nurses with the implementation of patient care plans and interventions, following established protocols and procedures. Collect specimens for laboratory testing, such as urine and stool samples, and transport them to the appropriate laboratory for analysis. Assist with the maintenance of a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, including cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms and equipment. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, listening to their concerns and offering reassurance and encouragement. Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance promptly and courteously, addressing their needs in a timely and compassionate manner. Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions to prevent the spread of infections and ensure patient safety. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs to enhance knowledge and skills. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Certification as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or similar healthcare credential is preferred but not required. Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, nursing home, or rehabilitation center, is advantageous. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to help and care for others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks, documenting information, and following instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
