We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to oversee our company's financial activities, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting. The Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions. Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and file statutory compliance documents, such as GST returns, TDS returns, and other regulatory filings, in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing analysis and recommendations to management. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide support in audit preparation and documentation. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures. Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and financial risks. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or SAP. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and data analysis. Knowledge of Indian taxation laws, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Integrity and ethical conduct in handling financial information and transactions. Professional certification, such as CA Inter, ICWA Inter, or ACCA, is preferred but not required.
