We are currently seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Dishwasher in Kottayam. The Dishwasher will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment used in food preparation and service. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities: Operate dishwashing equipment, such as dishwashers, sinks, and sanitizing machines, to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Sort and stack dishes, utensils, and kitchenware in racks or trays, and load them into the dishwasher for washing, ensuring proper arrangement and maximum capacity. Add detergent, rinse aid, and sanitizer to dishwashing machines as needed, and monitor water temperature, pressure, and chemical levels for optimal cleaning and sanitation. Remove clean dishes from the dishwasher, inspect them for cleanliness and quality, and stack or store them in designated storage areas or on shelves for reuse. Hand wash delicate items, large pots, or heavily soiled items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher, using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. Empty and clean trash receptacles, collect and dispose of waste materials, and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dishwashing area and surrounding areas. Clean and sanitize dishwashing equipment, sinks, drains, and work surfaces regularly, and follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to prevent contamination. Assist kitchen staff and servers in preparing food, plating dishes, and serving customers during peak hours or as needed to support the operation. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when handling cleaning chemicals, hot water, or sharp objects to prevent accidents and injuries. Adhere to food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene standards for handling food, beverages, and kitchen equipment, and report any violations or concerns to the supervisor. Collaborate with other kitchen staff members, chefs, and servers to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, and support teamwork and cooperation. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or kitchen manager to meet operational needs and ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements: No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Proven work experience as a Dishwasher, Kitchen Helper, or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering establishment is advantageous. Knowledge of dishwashing equipment, cleaning agents, and sanitation procedures for food service operations. Physical stamina and endurance to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs. Integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude towards work and colleagues. Fluency in Malayalam; proficiency in English or other languages is an advantage.
