Handle food ingredients, utensils, and equipment safely and hygienically, following food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and kitchen procedures. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the pantry area, including countertops, shelves, refrigerators, and storage areas, to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items, supplies, and perishables to minimize waste and maintain quality and freshness. Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies, ingredients, and stock items, and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor or procurement department. Set up and organize pantry stations, including food displays, buffet setups, and beverage stations, to facilitate efficient service and enhance guest experience. Greet guests, visitors, or employees courteously, take orders, and assist with inquiries or requests related to pantry services in a professional and friendly manner. Serve food and beverages to guests or staff members, using appropriate serving techniques, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records of sales and transactions, following cash handling procedures and accounting protocols. Follow established procedures for waste disposal, recycling, and environmental sustainability initiatives, and contribute to maintaining a clean and eco-friendly workplace. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations, including grooming standards, dress code, and code of conduct, at all times. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred. Proven work experience as a Pantry Man, Pantry Assistant, or similar role in a hospitality, catering, or food service setting. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene standards for handling food, beverages, and kitchen equipment. Basic culinary skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and recipe execution. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric attitude and the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and vendors. Physical stamina and endurance to stand, walk, lift, and carry objects for extended periods and work in a hot, humid, or confined space. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs. Integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude towards work and colleagues.
