Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and diagnostics, either personally or with the assistance of technicians, to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance services. Provide customers with detailed explanations of recommended repairs, estimated costs, and timelines, and obtain authorization for repairs before proceeding. Generate accurate service estimates and invoices using dealership or service center software, ensuring transparency and clarity in pricing and service descriptions. Schedule service appointments, allocate resources, and coordinate workflow to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction. Communicate with technicians, parts department staff, and other team members to coordinate parts ordering, availability, and delivery for timely completion of repairs. Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicles throughout the repair process, providing updates on progress, delays, and additional repairs as needed. Upsell additional services, maintenance packages, or accessories to customers based on their vehicle's needs, manufacturer recommendations, and service history. Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns or issues, and schedule future maintenance appointments. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, repair orders, and warranty information using dealership or service center databases. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards for customer service, vehicle maintenance, and repair operations. Stay updated on automotive industry trends, manufacturer specifications, and technical advancements through training programs, workshops, and self-study. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification; post-secondary education or technical training in automotive technology is preferred. Proven work experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role in an automotive dealership, service center, or repair shop. Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures, with the ability to diagnose and explain technical issues to customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, listen to their concerns, and address their needs effectively. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations. Proficiency in using dealership or service center software for generating estimates, invoices, and service reports. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously. Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell services and accessories based on customer needs and preferences. Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
