The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for teaching chemistry concepts, conducting experiments, and fostering a love for the subject among students. The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in chemistry, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to nurturing students' scientific curiosity and understanding. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive chemistry lessons to students at the secondary level, following the curriculum guidelines and educational objectives. Introduce fundamental concepts of chemistry, including atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry, using a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials. Conduct laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities to illustrate chemical principles, promote inquiry-based learning, and develop students' laboratory skills and scientific reasoning. Provide clear explanations and demonstrations of complex chemical concepts, theories, and phenomena, and encourage active participation and critical thinking among students. Use educational technology tools, multimedia resources, and visual aids to enhance instruction, engage students, and facilitate understanding of abstract concepts and processes. Assess student learning progress and academic performance through regular quizzes, tests, laboratory reports, projects, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback to students. Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, following safety protocols and guidelines for handling chemicals, equipment, and hazardous materials. Collaborate with other science teachers and faculty members to align curriculum, share resources, and coordinate interdisciplinary projects and activities. Participate in department meetings, professional development workshops, and curriculum planning sessions to enhance teaching skills, share best practices, and contribute to school improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school administrators regarding student progress, behavior, and academic concerns. Support students' academic and personal growth through mentoring, counseling, and academic advising, as needed. Adhere to professional and ethical standards of teaching practice, including maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field; Master's degree or teaching certification is preferred. Valid teaching license or certification to teach Chemistry at the secondary level in Kerala. Proven work experience as a Chemistry Teacher or educator, preferably in a school setting. Strong understanding of chemistry concepts, theories, laboratory techniques, and safety procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students in learning. Ability to create and deliver effective lesson plans, laboratory experiments, and instructional materials that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Proficiency in using educational technology tools, multimedia resources, and learning management systems to enhance instruction and student learning. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment. Passion for teaching and inspiring students to explore and appreciate the wonders of chemistry. Flexibility to adapt to changing educational needs, curriculum requirements, and school policies. Positive attitude, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and parents. Fluency in English and Malayalam; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
