As a Restaurant Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the dining area, supervising waitstaff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high standard of food and beverage quality. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to uphold the restaurant's reputation and maximize profitability. Responsibilities: Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant, escort them to their tables, and ensure they are comfortable. Manage the seating arrangements to optimize space and efficiency. Supervise and train waitstaff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service. Take orders from guests and ensure accurate delivery of food and beverages. Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor the cleanliness and maintenance of the dining area, ensuring it meets hygiene and safety standards. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Uphold restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed. Promote upselling and suggestive selling techniques to increase revenue. Requirements: Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter, or similar role in the hospitality industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items and specials. Understanding of health and safety regulations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Diploma or degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
