Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Technician to join our team. The Lab Technician will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Conducting routine laboratory tests, such as blood counts, urinalysis, and cholesterol tests. Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments. Collecting and preparing specimens for analysis. Recording and analyzing test results accurately. Maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring the integrity of laboratory data. Following established protocols and procedures for quality control and assurance. Calibrating and standardizing laboratory equipment as needed. Assisting in the development and validation of new laboratory procedures. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses. Participating in continuing education and training to stay updated on new techniques and technologies in the field. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field. Certification or licensure as a Lab Technician. Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and instrumentation. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analyzing data. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer skills and experience with laboratory information systems. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends if required. Familiarity with safety and infection control protocols in a laboratory setting.
