We are seeking a skilled and experienced South Indian Cook to join our team in Palakkad. The ideal candidate should have a passion for South Indian cuisine and be proficient in preparing a variety of traditional dishes. The cook will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a wide variety of South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, curries, and chutneys. Follow traditional recipes and techniques to ensure authentic flavor and presentation. Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely food service. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines at all times. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required. Handle any other duties assigned by the management. Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian Cook or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting. Deep understanding of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques. Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is a plus.
