We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Loading and Unloading Staff in Ernakulam. The Loading and Unloading Staff will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products within our facility. The ideal candidates should possess physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against delivery documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Sort and organize incoming inventory based on product type, size, and destination, and prepare them for storage or distribution. Use appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, to safely load and unload goods from trucks, containers, or storage areas. Follow proper loading and stacking procedures to prevent damage to goods and ensure maximum space utilization. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues to the supervisor or manager. Label, tag, and track incoming and outgoing inventory using inventory management systems or manual records. Assist with inventory counting, stocktaking, and reconciliation activities as needed to maintain accurate inventory records. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the loading and unloading areas, including clearing debris, spills, and obstructions. Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate loading and unloading activities and resolve any issues or concerns. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment, is an asset but not required. Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day. Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment and tools, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, is advantageous. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Basic math skills for counting, sorting, and recording inventory. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
