AC Technician Job Opening in Kochi

As an AC Technician in Ernakulam, your main responsibility is to install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will be tasked with ensuring that air conditioning units operate efficiently, safely, and reliably to provide optimal indoor comfort for customers. Key Responsibilities: Installation: Install new air conditioning systems, including split AC units, central air conditioning systems, and ductless mini-split systems. Follow manufacturer guidelines, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure proper installation and functionality. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning air filters, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, inspecting electrical components, and testing system controls. Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with air conditioning systems, such as cooling issues, refrigerant leaks, compressor malfunctions, and electrical faults. Repair or replace faulty components, including compressors, condensers, evaporator coils, fans, and thermostats. Refrigerant Handling: Handle refrigerants safely and responsibly in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Recharge AC systems with refrigerant as needed, recover and recycle refrigerant from old systems, and dispose of refrigerant waste properly. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safety guidelines when working at heights, with electrical systems, and around hazardous materials. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Communicate effectively to understand customer needs, explain service options, and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed. Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation using computerized systems or paper-based forms as required. Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in air conditioning systems. Participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance technical knowledge and skills. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and support staff to coordinate work schedules, share technical expertise, and support team objectives. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and efficient service delivery. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repair requests, especially during peak seasons or extreme weather conditions. Prioritize urgent repairs and critical maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and disruptions for customers. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technology or a related field. Proven experience as an AC Technician or HVAC technician, preferably in a residential or commercial setting. Knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration principles, and HVAC components. Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
