As a Floor Supervisor in Ernakulam, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific area or department within a retail or hospitality establishment. Key Responsibilities: Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of floor staff, including sales associates, customer service representatives, and other frontline employees. Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Training and Development: Train new employees on job duties, company policies, and customer service standards. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help staff improve their skills and performance. Identify training needs and opportunities for skills development. Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service at all times. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Foster a positive customer experience and resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer. Floor Management: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the floor area. Ensure that displays are well-stocked, visually appealing, and properly merchandised. Implement strategies to optimize floor layout and traffic flow. Sales Performance: Monitor sales performance metrics, such as daily sales targets, conversion rates, and average transaction values. Set sales goals and targets for floor staff and motivate them to achieve performance objectives. Implement sales techniques and strategies to drive revenue and meet sales targets. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control activities, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting inventory counts. Ensure accurate inventory records and proper handling of merchandise to minimize shrinkage and loss. Cash Handling: Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, processing transactions, and reconciling cash drawers. Ensure compliance with cash handling policies and security protocols. Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff. Enforce safety regulations and security procedures to prevent accidents, theft, and other incidents. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety hazards or concerns. Team Communication: Foster open communication and teamwork among floor staff. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss goals, performance expectations, and operational updates. Facilitate effective communication between different departments and shifts. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll processing, and reporting. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or customer service. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service principles. Familiarity with inventory management systems and cash handling procedures.
