Drink Preparation: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the drink menu, including specialty cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages offered. Cash Handling: Process customer payments, handle cash transactions, and provide accurate change. Use point-of-sale (POS) systems for billing. Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies, including glasses, garnishes, and mixers. Check Identification: Verify the age of patrons to ensure legal drinking age compliance before serving alcoholic beverages. Upselling: Suggest additional drinks or upsell premium options to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Handling Customer Concerns: Address customer concerns or complaints regarding service or billing and escalate issues if necessary. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed. Compliance: Adhere to local alcohol regulations, health and safety standards, and the establishment's policies. Collaboration: Work closely with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Skills and Qualifications: Bartending Experience: Previous experience in bartending or a similar role is beneficial. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues. Mixology Knowledge: Knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation, and presentation. Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach with a friendly and personable demeanor. Cash Handling Skills: Accuracy in handling cash transactions and processing payments.
