Responsibilities: Hardware Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware issues in desktops, laptops, servers, and other computer peripherals. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and drivers on computer systems. Virus and Malware Removal: Perform scans and remove viruses, malware, and other security threats from computer systems. Networking Support: Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of local area networks (LANs), wireless networks, and internet connectivity issues. Peripheral Setup: Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Data Backup and Recovery: Implement data backup solutions and assist with data recovery in the event of system failures. System Upgrades: Upgrade hardware components, such as RAM, hard drives, and graphics cards, to enhance computer performance. Customer Support: Provide technical support to end-users, both in-person and remotely, addressing their computer-related issues and inquiries. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of computer systems. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of hardware and software configurations, repairs, and support activities. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively. Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in conducting repairs and maintaining accurate documentation. Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet repair deadlines and respond promptly to support requests.
