As a Denter in Kannur, your primary responsibility is to repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies to their original condition. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of vehicles by performing a range of denting and panel beating tasks with precision and expertise. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Inspection: Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage, dents, and deformities on the body panels and structural components. Dent Removal: Use specialized tools and equipment to remove dents, creases, and dings from vehicle bodies, restoring them to their original shape and contour. Panel Beating: Perform panel beating and reshaping of damaged body panels, fenders, doors, roofs, and trunk lids using hammers, mallets, and other shaping tools. Body Repair: Repair and replace damaged or rusted body parts, including panels, frames, and structural components, ensuring structural integrity and alignment. Welding: Utilize welding equipment to weld and fabricate metal components, patches, and reinforcements as needed for body repairs and modifications. Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, filling, and priming to remove rust, imperfections, and old paint layers. Painting Support: Assist with masking, taping, and covering vehicle areas not to be painted, as well as sanding and polishing painted surfaces to achieve a smooth finish. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all denting and repair work meets quality standards and specifications, conducting thorough inspections and quality checks throughout the repair process. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials to prevent accidents or injuries. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and customer details, for billing and documentation purposes. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Denter or Panel Beater in an automotive repair workshop or garage is preferred. Proficiency in dent removal techniques, panel beating, welding, and metal fabrication. Knowledge of automotive body repair procedures, materials, and equipment. Familiarity with vehicle makes and models, bodywork specifications, and repair techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and repair manuals. Strong attention to detail and precision in denting and repair work. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and work in various positions. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Certification or training in automotive body repair and denting is an advantage.
