As a member of the Food and Beverage (F&B) team in Trivandrum, your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent service to guests in restaurants, bars, cafes, or other dining establishments. You will play a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences by offering attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the F&B operation. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus, specials, or promotions as appropriate. Assist guests in selecting menu items, taking orders accurately, and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, or dietary restrictions. Relay orders to the kitchen or bar staff promptly, ensuring that special requests or modifications are communicated clearly and accurately. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, adhering to established service standards and presentation guidelines. Monitor tables and anticipate guests' needs, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and replenishing utensils or condiments as needed. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as plating dishes, garnishing plates, and portioning servings as directed by kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing and sanitizing tables, chairs, and service stations between guests. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, coffee, and tea, following recipes and pouring techniques. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems accurately, processing payments and providing change or receipts to guests as needed. Follow hygiene and food safety protocols at all times, including proper handwashing, handling of food items, and storage of perishable goods. Assist in stocking and replenishing inventory items, including food, beverages, utensils, and condiments, to ensure availability for service. Collaborate with other F&B staff, including servers, bartenders, cooks, and managers, to ensure efficient communication and teamwork in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Qualifications: Previous experience in food and beverage service, hospitality, or customer service is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with guests and colleagues. Customer-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the establishment. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays or heavy items for extended periods. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks, procedures, and responsibilities as needed. High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
